Yes, speeding always carries the risk of getting caught.  I have heard of stories where people get pinched for going 1 mph over the limit.... it all depends on the "officer".  I am led to believe that officers (in general) are a little more leniant towards motorcyclists.  There are always exceptions though.  Around here, you must use discretion.  Open deserted roads with low frequency of law enforcement is where I prefer to ride.  I believe Louisiana is more famous for speeding scams including vehicle confiscations for suspected drug running and bullshit.

Has anyone got their ST over 140 (on the Sigma speedo) with the "tall screen"...just curious?

I've seen so much on television about the local state laws forbidding, fining 
 and even gaoling speeders, I get the impression everyone has to cruise at 
low speeds?. Ann, Kent, Britain.
