Congrats on the new Sprint ST.
You got caught on radar and verfied the accuracy of the speedo. That's =
great, but did you get a ticket ?

Hi there ST Digest
=20
My name is Burt Barrett, and I reside in Bakersfield, California. I =
am the Proud Owner of a 99 Sprint ST, Big Red, with Pannier Bags, and =
Top Boot. I bought it used from a small bike shop in Santa Barbara. It =
had seventy eight miles on it. All the decals were intact and it was =
immaculate. I bought it, with the bags and boot already installed for =
$95k, out the door. My son (18) and I rode it home in the rain. He was =
in hog heaven.(we both were I guess)
I have been riding motorcycles since 1958. Mostly Triumphs. I am a =
Triumph man. I have ridden almost every other brand out there, and like =
most all of them. But the Triumph Sprint ST is the BEST motorcycle I =
have ever ridden! I love the Kenworth diesel sound she makes at idle. =
Different. I am interested in a taller windscreen. Seems that at =
speed, 60/80 I feel a lift of my helmet, which is different than other =
bikes I have ridden. WHAT is a Zero Gravity windscreen? Does the =
Triumph taller windscreen work better? =20
By the way, I got radared the other day by the CHP, two separate =
officers, in two locations. The first one got me at 80, and the second =
one got me at 78. Both matched my speedo reading. Interesting. I also =
have a 71 Triumph Bonneville which I have restored(Bought one new in 71) =
and curiously the speedo readings match, as do Big Red and my sons 71 =
BSA Lightning. =20
About OIL. Had Wilson's in Fresno change the oil at 600m. They =
refilled with Motul, semi synthetic. Shouldn't it be the Triumph Mobil =
1?
=20
Regards
Burt
