Here are some additional details on the book Jack refers to, which should
help you locate it at any bookstore:

Title:                            Triumph Motorcycles, Their Renaissance and
the Hinckley Factory
Author:                        John Tipler
Publisher:                  Crowood Press,  U.K.,   1997
Details:                       Hardcover,  160 pages,  many colour and black
& white photographs
ISBN:                           1-86126-041-5

The book covers the original Sprint, but not the ST.   The book is not
particularly technical and the best chapters are on the manufacturing
process and a factory tour.

I'd recommend the book  as 'general interest' rather than a definitive
reference on the Hinckley Triumphs.
