You can buy stick-on window tint at an autosupply, and stick the stuff to the inside of your visor.  I did it.  I placed the tint on the outside of the helmet and experimented with tint placement, cut a basic pattern...and presto, I don't need to wear shades.  I can tilt my head down slightly for those irritating sunsets.

What does one of these things cost?

Have they been DOT approved, or are individuals importing them from European
retailers?

How far down does the sun visor come?  Do you end up looking through a
tinted visor?  Or is it just to shade the upper part of your face?  Does it
come down far enough to ride into the rising or setting sun?
