flat bat

Having recharged the battery for 4 hours, it now works fine.
I wonder if, after reconnecting the headlights together with a
relay etc., the mechanic might have tested the lights on the
battery rather than starting the bike up and running it, and
thus depleted the juice in it. That's the only explanation I
have. But thanks to Erich and Jim and others for explaining what
the clicking was - I've heard it before on other bikes.

BTW, what do other people do in start-up emergencies?
No kick-start (sigh ...)
Hard to jump-start by pushing (I presume, but I haven't tried
it)
And someone said the on-board computers would suffer if it was
jump-start by cable because of a current surge.
So apart from waiting around for hours till the battery charges,
what options do we have?

Tim
