jumpstarting the ST

Hi everyone:
I had occasion to jumpstart my ST three days after I picked it up from the dealer.
It just wouldn't start. The instruments lighted and I could crank the engine several
revolutions, but there wasn't enough power to do the job. Took out the old cables and
connected it to the battery in a mini van. The motor was not running and I let the batteries
sit connected for about twenty seconds before "switching on". Perfect start first time. I
have not had to do it since. The bike has been starting for me even in the 15 degree F
weather here in Philadelphia.
See you locals at the Triumph booth at the Phila. MC show over the week-end.
