It would be because of the EFI, my GF and I watched the neighbors try to push
start a mid 90's miata, for an hour. Very humorous.

If the battery does not have enough juice to get the fuel pump up
to presume or open up the fuel jets, then no matter how much you
push, no light.

Never could figure out that one. No current goes through the
computer. Yes the voltage on the sick vehicle with jump quickly,
but nothing that you can do to a bike/car by jump can produce the
electrical violence of actually starting the engine. The start
motor/relay et al are huge coils.

When ever I jump start vehicles I ensure all accessories are off.
Both vehicles are off when the connection is made. Start up the
donor vehicle, then let the sick battery charge for a minute with
moderate revs on the donor engine. Then try starting the sick bike.

Just make sure both vehicles have the same voltage electrical
systems.
