 The secret of wheelies is REAR BRAKE! The throttle raises the front
wheel and the rear brake gives you the control you need to keep it
from going higher than you desire. Practice on a dirt bike if
possible; at a walking pace close the throttle and push down hard on
the front end to compress the forks as much as possible, then goose
it and pull up on the bars as the forks extend. Control the wheel
height with rear brake. If you loop it, fall under it so you won't
scratch it!
