Welsh Roads (Not Triumph Specific)

I'll be riding from London to Ruthin in North Wales next weekend.

I will be taking for the most part the scenic route i.e. Good motorcycling
roads.

My tentative plan is to maybe take the M4, cross the Severn Bridge and then
choose the best roads to ride from South Wales through to the North. I would
appreciate any advice on a good route to take from anybody who knows welsh
roads well. Can anybody help?

(Maybe I shouldn't take the M4?)
