I just picked up a pair of Hella horns from a mail order place called
Girot's Garage. They are a bit larger than the stock horn, but WAY
louder. they have red protective cages on the outside. You get a pair,
low and hi tone, wiring, a relay and brackets. Used the stock bracket to
the Hella bracket, only one horn though. Haven't figured out if two will
fit.
The relay WOULD allow you to use both in the existing system.    Total
cost with shipping was about 75$us. Not cheap, but they are finally loud
enough to hear.
