RTV ...what it means

Hello all:
	RTV means Room Temperature Vulcanising as it applies to various types of 
rubber, usually with silicon additives. It is not a gasket compound, nor is it designed to 
serve as one. Heat degrades silicone rubber, especially the high temps created by our 
engines. Depending on what type of RTV silicon/rubber you used, it will eventually fail 
with time. If you need a gasket compound, buy and use the correct product!
