What a month

Indeed, what a month. Left from St. Louis, Missouri on June 23rd. Went to
the HSTA STAR in Avon, Colorado, rode a few hunderd miles there, ye haa
twisties! Left Avon on the 29th. Went directly to Iowa City, IA, via
Kansas City stop over for the 4th of July weekend, arrived in IA June 30th.
Then got home July 4th to find 18,025 mile on the odo. Scheduled the
service to be done on the 12th, new chain and sprockets were required,
remember to lube your chains out there. Left July 13th, after picking the
bike up that day, to go to Midland, Michigan for the BMWMOA National Rally,
no extra riding, but lots of tire tellin' and lie kickin' there. Plus I met
a guy with a turbo Sprint ST running 12 lbs boost and getting 185 HP, it's a
real clean application. There were 2 other ST's and one RS there. Then get
back to St. Louis on the 16th. I forgot to look at the odo before coming to
work today but I'm fairly certain I'm pushing 20k now. My only complaint is
the seat is now starting to break down after 300 miles straight. I wonder
if Sargent has core seats for the Sprint now. They do a 10-14 day turn
around on BMW R1100RT's since they have cores to start with, a friend has
one.
Report on the bike no suprises. No mechanical or electrical gremlins. All
wonderfully clear cruzing. I love this bike!

PS: I love this bike so much I'm kicking myself for not washing it when I
got back on Sun. But, I was one tired puppy. So many 600 mile days close
together take it out of ya.
