re: helmet locks

Neil and LB claim they didn't get wet even in the thunderstorms we had, I am sure that was mould around Neil's neckline after 3 days of touring :)
Probably not fitted to the Triumph's now as anyone with sense would not leave a helmet of any value (i.e. one that is of any protective use) 'D-ring'ed' to a bike in the UK, at least not if they wanted it to be there when they get back!

Certainly do wear helmets - but I wouldn't use a helmet lock even if it was
fitted.  You have a good chance of returning to your bike one day and
finding a small D-ring locked to your bike, but the helmet gone - thieves
just cut the strap.  I use a bicycle lock through the helmet face opening
and lock it round the top rack.
