I have a 99 St (build date 11/98). Excellent throttle response. I blip the
throttle for all downshifts, have not experienced any unexpected response.
I'm w/ Jack Hays on this one, the EFI map and response are excellent.

Not trying to flame anyone, but I observe that some folks apparently have
little or no problems and some folks have lots of problems. My take is that
the factory has inconsistent build quality.
