Re: BT 57's

<<Hi everyone:
I have had BT 57's on my Trophy 90, Sprint Exec, and my current Sprint ST.
They are very good "all round" tyres for year round usage. I ride mixed 60%
local to
40%highway (fast) driving and they have served me very well. I get about 9K
miles on
average rear tyre. They give good grip and excellent feedback in hot/cold,
wet/dry
conditions.
I have ridden with many tyres of poorer quality. I have nothing to complain
about.>>

If you're doing long trips with lots of straight up and down...like across
Nevada...the BT57's are terrible for wear. I went through a rear in about
5500 miles on my Sprint Exec and only 4000 miles on my Sprint ST!!! And
they were inflated as high as possible to keep the temperature cooler and
hopefully make them last longer.

I have no complaints about their handling, wet or dry, but for
long-distance riding they leave a lot to be desired. Dunlop D205's are my
choice for long-distance riding from now on.
