I went up to Southport in Lancashire to my niece's wedding on  Pen-ddraig 
goch.  It had been pouring down from Cheshire onwards so I'd had to slow 
down. I just had time to chuck my clothes on so you can imagine how my hair 
looked after being cooped up in a crash helmet for all that time.  God, I 
hate elegantly dressed french females giving those ' we know how to dress' 
snobby expressions!  Wet doc martins to high heels - I've never done a 
quicker transformation in my life!  Because the other family was french 
(father in-law is a police chief), ALL dressed in black elegant dresses (not 
him!) I'd prepared for that, and bought a lovely short black number including 
a gorgeous black cloak just for the occasion, very elegant. After, I'd been 
ORDERED by my family to wear bright colours instead - typical lancastrians!
