This morning I was very alert for a change (slept 10 hours last night --
WOW!) and paid attention to my initial shift. The air was around 70F
but the bike was still cool from the overnight temp (garage probably got
down to 65F).

That first shift from 1st to 2nd was crisp (no clunk) and easy. My
route to the office has me stop a number of times, and every shift was
the same -- like butter. They've never felt better. And to put icing
on my cake the temperature was perfect, blue sky, light breeze and the
birds were singing in the trees (really!).

Boy, this is one GREAT bike! :-)

FYI I'm at approximately 2,000 miles.

So to all of you with a new ST or RS who are experiencing hard shifts
out of 1st gear, be patient. This too shall pass.
