G'day Peter,

The best way is to have a professional metal polisher do the job. My mate
just had his Daytona done - outer rims only, polished to the 'step' in the
rim, hub and spokes remaining black, for $200 both wheels. Triumph Australia
actually offers polished wheels as an option on new Triumphs (on an exchange
basis). My dealer here in Brisbane also offers to have your wheels polished
on a same-day turnaround, usually while the bike is in for a routine
service. This has proven very popular.

Also, there's a mob in Victoria (Aust.) called Electromold (03 9464 0922)
who offer a clear coating process specifically for polished alloy called
'Nicocover'. It seems a tad expensive at around $300 per wheel but saves you
having to keep polishing in the future. I have their ad which shows a
Daytona with nice, shiny wheels. Contact me off-line if you want it sent via
the ether.

Rgds,

Paul Bulfin.
Brisbane, Australia.
