hiking pack

Hi,

Have an of you tried to carry a large backpack on your bike?  I enjoy
hiking and want to carry my hiking pack on the back of my motorcycle.  I
am wondering what kind of methods I can use to keep my pack from falling
off.  My bike does not have a backrest on it, so I am worried that it
will fall off while I am riding.
