thanks for the info andy.  when you say it carries plenty solo do you mean 
just for one person or it carries plenty by  itself.  in it's current 
configuration it will not work with the hard bags.  my last bike had 
bags(bmw) but i found myself carrying stuff i never used.    how long of a 
trip can you pack for with just the ventura???  thanks again
