    I own both helmets you mentioned and while they are both excellent 
choices I prefer the Arai. The Arai's fit me better and are quieter, however, 
I like the ventilation of the Shoei the best. If you wear ear plugs then 
noise level is not an issue on either helmet.

<< I need a few opinions about noise level comparisions between Shoei and Arai
 helmets.  Specificly Shoei x-vent and Arai Quantum/F.  I got to try on both
 to get a size, but didn't get to ride with them.
