in memory of Jack Wilson

As I mentioned earlier in the week, Dennis was looking into an organization 
that we could donate to in remembrance of Jack Wilson - here is the 
information that I just received. While I never had the pleasure of meeting 
him in person, I have heard a lot about him. You can't pick up a book on 
Triumph racing or land speeds records without seeing his name mentioned 
several times. Donations are on an individual basis and are sent directly 
to the "Save the Salt" organization. Please take a moment and drop a 
contribution in the mail in memory of a man that did so much for this sport 
that we all love.

Here is the info for Save the Salt. The organization is currently in year 3 
of a 5 year project to pump salty brine onto the flats to raise the 
thickness level of the salt. Years of commercial harvesting of the salt and 
erosion depleted the surface area severely and has reduced the available 
areas for racing. You can find more information at http://www.saltflats.com

I spoke with the organization secretary about donations in Jack's name. 
This is timely for them as they only have about $13,000 left in the pumping 
project fund. This will not be enough to complete the last year of the 
project. Donations can be made out to Save The Salt and sent to:

As you know Jack Wilson set many records at Bonneville over the years. Team 
Texas Triumph continues this tradition and was involved in many of Jack's 
recent records. Jon Minano still rides for the team and was Jack's rider
