DC area and SmartTag

Any DC Area STer's using the SmartTag for the toll roads?  Any mounting
location ideas so that the box is not visible for reasons of Looks and
Theft?  If it is placed inside the fairing, will it get too hot?  Will the
sensors still pick up the signal?

Also, does removing the belly-pan really help with the heat coming off the
motor while moving?  It's only mid May, and its like driving the world's
most expensive portable space heater....
