I get about 4000-5000 miles on them before they start to look ratty,
then I take them off and flip them around so I can wear out the other
side, too.

I do the same with footpeg rubbers, but they only last about 2500
miles before coming apart, so lately I've just been using the metal
peg underneath the rubber boot.
