Just for the record, my wife has 2800 on her 2000 RS and zero problems.
So far so good.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your
ride.  I'm kind of surprised to hear the Cal BMW Triumph is not
being particularly responsive to your needs; it seems out of
character for them, to me.

I'm beginning to feel like I must be living a charmed life, with all
the problems folks are reporting with their Sprints.  My RS (2000
miles, now) has not experienced _any_ of the vairous ailments
that are becoming common; I just have to wonder how long it will
be until mine "catches" the disease...  I'm knocking on wood,
that's for sure.
