I am embarrassed to admit it, but at the end of March I had a low speed =
accident (of my own making) on my 99 ST. The bike was rideable after =
re-shaping the pretzel shaped rear brake pedal and with fairing parts =
flapping in the wind. The bill for repairs is about $3,700 as almost =
all of the right side of the bike is being replaced. The problem is =
that the parts have not yet arrived and I remember a recent thread about =
list members in the same predicament - no parts. Does anybody have any =
current idea on parts availability? The dealer (Howell's in PA) has =
been excellent (they even lent me a 2000 Daytona for a weekend), but =
there is little they can do if Atlanta does not have the parts. Apart =
from calling Triumph USA, I am tempted to contact Triumph dealers in =
England (I.e. Jack Lilley) to see if they have the parts. Anybody have =
any suggestions as the nice weather is driving me nuts!
Cheers!
