Re: brake lever excessive travel

I just went through the process of pushing the pistons back on the front
caliper. Removed caliper, brushed off as much gunk as I could, pushed
them in, remounted caliper, pumped them back out (it took at least 20
full pulls to get the pads in contact with the disk). Did the whole
procedure once more for good measure, same 20 full pulls to pump them
back out. WOW! What a difference. I had my brake lever set at 2, to
compensate for all the mushiness, now it is at four, and I still feel I
am "reaching" for the brakes. For the 20 minutes or so this took, next
time I notice any mushiness, it'll be a repeat performance. I am now
perhaps regretting buying the SpeedBleeders, but I'll let the list know
how it goes with them.

So the grabby seals seem to be the culprit. Anybody know who else has
these brakes (manufacturer's that is)? If it is the same size as a Honda
VFR (for example :-)), perhaps a set of Honda (or other appropriate mfg) seals.
