Yes, the tire has been replaced with another D205 as I wanted to keep 
the rear matched to the front until the front is worn.  The bad tire 
has been sent back to Parts Unlimited, which is the Dunlop distributor
for the shop I buy from, for evaluation and a decision on reimbursing
me.  The area rep for Parts Unlimited told the shop owner that those 
side wall bulges are rare but not unheard of!

Yes, and there is a reason for doing those routine pre ride checks 
which is how I spotted the bubbles in the side wall.
