hi, im 6`` 200lbs, i've had about ten bikes before including a YZF 1000 96
on which i crossed all canada east to west and back through the US.
difference with yzf: less roll-on ( ducati st2/4 even less ), softer
suspension ( forks ),
much better comfort, bags are tops, passenger ride much better...
i kinda got used to the power of the yzf in roll ons and all the sport
touring bikes have less, but the ST has the most ( look in motorcyclist near
end all roll ons ), the suspension is set at max preload in front and now
works fine that way , rear is set up with about 2/3 from max and is really
up to the task. i would go with stiffer springs in forks only ifmoney is no
object. i may go down 1 tooth on front sprocket and then i think it would
be near like a yzf. . i was in your shoes last year and im sure i made the
right choice. write me on/off list for more info (lots)
if you wish.
