Genmar Install Questions

For those of you who have put the Genmars on the ST, did you find that you
had to use the longer brake line supplied with the kit, or is there enough
slack in the line if you loosen some of the tie downs used on the stock
line? Had the Genmars on my old GPZ and really liked them, and did not need
to do anything but slap them on (brake line length was just adequate without
the cable ties).
