here's a question i've been meaning to look into, but haven't yet:

how much of triumph's "heritage" comes though in, or affects, the
modern triumph line?  i.e. is there really anything more than a badge,
and a logo with name recognition on the side of the tank?  clearly the
design of the modern bikes is pretty far removed from the old bikes. 
did any of the original designers have anything at all to do with the
later bikes?
