Thanks very much.  Just the info I needed.  Theoretical top speed is going
to remain theoretical for me even  with a 17/44 set up!  I'll be out in the
garage counting sprocket teeth tonight, but if it is 19/43 I think I might
try going to a 17 front and leave the back as is for now.  The thought of
even snappier acceleration is ummmm... appealing!  (tho' some may think it
appalling)
