Dealer not aware of recall

Hi all,
     Ignore that Connie, it's Ken
Called the local dealer about the recall on the fuel sender and they had
no idea what I was talking about. They said they would check into it but
I think I will fax them a copy of the US recall notice from this site.
Thanks again to this wonderful site.
Also took a ride to the store today to fill my panniers with some
bread and lunch meat and found that the 1st gear speed at idle is a
little faster than I care to go down my driveway( about 1/4 mile gravel).
May need that 18 tooth to keep those rocks from bouncing off of my
beautiful blue fast paint.
Something to consider about ratios. Although the change of one
tooth only changes the final ratio slightly this needs to be multiplied
by the 1st gear ratio. That's where the most major change will be found
and needed.
