wider mirrors

does anyone have any ideas on how to increase the mirror view
on an RS?  initially i thought it wouldn't be so bad, but only
getting use of half the mirror is starting to bother me, especially
in traffic situations.

are the ST mirrors wider?  are they interchangeable?

can anyone think of a relatively easy way of moving the RS mirrors
further out?  some sort of blocks that went between the mirrors and the
fairing?

other aftermarket mirrors?

what about bar-end mirrors -- i've never thought i'd like them, since
they're not as close to your field of view.  but maybe it would be
worth it.  what have people tried, and liked?
