The flickering oil warning light happened only one time about 4000 miles ago. 
 I have alway run only triumph 4-t oil with triumph filters which i have 
changed every 2000 to 3000 miles (quite expensive)..  If anything, I always 
overmaintain my bikes.   My dealer, MCC in Villa Park, IL explained that if 
the oil pump fails it fails.  I think it was a momentary glitch, anyway I 
hope so, and the fact that  it has ran flawlessly since makes me feel better. 
 It  does start very hard when hot.  John Conneely
