At last!  This problem was reported at least a month ago. Mine 'exploded' on the way to Corsica - a bit inconvenient. Fortunately a local dealer (St Etienne) had one of the older type fuel senders (didn't work, but didn't leak either) in a parts bin and gave it to me free of charge.
Fuel was leaking (dripping) across the fuel injection system and the engine heads.  Could have been a bit nasty!  It was only really obvious when the bike was parked in a confined space overnight.
The sender failed after sustained high-speed running for 6.5 hours on the autobahn and autoroute at 140-170 kmh.
Another warning concerns the clutch cable; if your adjuster nut has been 'bent' due to heavy handed servicing or after corrosion and 'freeing', there is a good chance that fitting the bar risers will trap and 'cut' some strands of the clutch cable. Be very careful, and if in doubt fit a new, perfect adjuster nut and collar.
