600 mile service consists of ...?

did anyone get to watch their 600 mile service being done?  it would
never have occurred to me, except that one of the local bmw dealers
encourages customers to come in, so they can observe and assist in the
service, as a learning experience.

what actually gets done?  i'm assuming oil change, chain adjustment,
valve adjustment, and probably a bunch of retorquing of chassis bolts --
anything else?

seems like watching someone do all that stuff the first time would be
a nice intro to doing it oneself the next time.
