Re: clear protective film



I got my protective film from Eric (don't know if he still has more), and it
works really well on the tank and on the side panels where your knees and
thighs rub.  I already had the Triumph tank pad (codpiece) so I didn't use
it there, although Eric was kind enough to include several templates,
including one for the codpiece.  Although it's a bit tricky to apply
(practice definitely makes perfect so you start with the easy areas), you'd
be surprised how well it conforms to curved surfaces.  As for wear, chances
are it would work fine under soft bags.  Eventually it might wear out, but
it can be removed and replaced with fresh film too.  So far there's no hint
of it peeling up either.  Last, but not least, when it's installed you don't
even notice it that much (much better than rubber knee pads IMHO).
