Re[2]: Drilling holes in grab rail



     I'd be more concerned about the stress on the mounting points where 
     the grab rail bolts to the frame than stress on the rail itself. When 
     the rack is fitted there is an extra plate supplied to give two 
     additional mounting points. I'd be concerned about causing damage to 
     the rear subframe with the arrangement you describe.
