Lex, I'm sorry - I forgot to get back with you. I tested a piece on my
clear visor (half with - half without). There is definitely a difference
with it on, although during the day it was really not too bad. However at
night it really became a problem as any scratch in the film (from
installation or cleaning) was immediately evident and did a good job of
dazzling the light source. I personally would not want to ride around with
it permanently installed on my helmet.
