Re: oil and gas



Motul 5100 is a semi synthetic. I use 15-50 because that is the same 
weight as the Triumph branded Mobil one, which is the same as 
European Mobil One Racing 4T which one can't get in the US. 
Interesting thing is that in my owners manual Triumph calls for a 
15-40 wt which no one makes!  As for the weight issue a 5-50 wt is a 
no no it's too thin. Which is a shame because I like the Motorex 
products but they don't yet have a 15-50 wt.

PS: And yes I wouldn't spend $12.00 a quart for 300V and change every 
2000 miles .. that's why I use 5100. It costs me about $29.00 per oil 
change with filter.

PPS: Here's a link to the UK Mobil 1 site it clearly states that 4T 
is 15-50 wt  Interesting that the Triumph branded Mobil 1 does not 
list the viscosity on the jug, and the owners manual lists and 
incorrect viscosity!
