I had the 12k check done on my stock 99 st almost 2 weeks ago. I was told a couple exhaust valves were "a little tight". It cost me$363. The service manager also put in a new tune on my bike which kinda bummed me out at first because I loved the mid-range hit of the re-tune they did at 6k. He told me the new tune richens the mixture at lower revs. Well after 400 mi. of riding/ testing I ain't bummin' nomore, this tune is da bomb. I still have that seamless spread of power but now more of it sooner. Can you say throttle wheelies? REAL roll-on speed, perfect for passing cages on twisty country roads or leaving traffic behind on the freeway. On top of all that i'm still averaging over 50mpg! (I weigh 150lb. and ride at close sealevel) Sorry I don't know the tune# right now , but will call (LIBBYS of new haven,ct.) to inquire soon. later garrett johns (stray dawg) 99st
