Re: Fuel Economy and top rack removal



I decided I was going to take another listers recommendation and weld the 
nuts to the bottom of the strengthening plate.
     
     I think that was me. I welded the nuts to the bottom of the 
     strengthening plate and removed the thread from the mounting points in 
     the frame. I then replaced the bolts with good quality stainless 
     items. This route meant that I can use a ratchet arm and socket from 
     above rather than using a spanner from below (I'm REALLY lazy). 
     There's not much room for swinging a spanner under the rack when the 
     alarm is fitted.
