Nope - love to see another join the ranks of Triumph owners...

Congratulations !!! I watched your posts on the T5 list as you narrowed
your choices - I think you ended up with the perfect bike.

Well, the general consensus is that Triumph designs and builds them, so
they must have a pretty good idea of how they should be broken in. Now to
contradict that, I deviated slightly from the break in guidelines and
exceeded the RPM limits several times. I did this at the recommendation of
a couple different sources familiar with the Triumph motor. At 12k my
compression rivalled bikes that had performance tuning done. Now I am not
sure that my break in was solely responsible for this, but I think that it
contributed. I would never push it to redline, or run it like I planned on
running it on the street after break in.

So I guess my recommendation would be to follow the factory guidelines,
being sure to vary RPM and speed (keep of the interstates). If you happen
to exceed the RPM limits don't go beating yourself up - just don't keep it
over limit for an extended length of time.

Well at least you found out without asking the list which magnetic bag was
best ;-)

Enjoy the new baby
