REe: Shifter Rod



That was me. The reasons that you haven't heard anything more is that there
were only two interested parties to respond and the replacement part from
Triumph, which was indeed $16, turned out to be slightly larger in diameter
than the original and made of plated steel rather than aluminum. I don't
expect to have any problem from the replacement part which took the hurry
out of having a stainless part made, although I still plan on doing so.
