Scott,

I've got maybe 45,000 miles on my Sympatex boots, and only had them get damp inside one time, after riding 500 miles  through heavy rain. I've never done anything to them except use leather conditioner a couple of times. The toes are pretty beveled, and the lugs on the soles have worn down quite a bit, but otherwise they are holding up extremely well. They are by far the best touring boots I have ever used.
