[ST] Radar comparo, Eric Miner

Eric,

I will actually get to compare the Passport 8500 to my bud, Chris'
Valentine-One next week-end on a run up thru the Talimena Drive. (we are
going to "crash" the HSTA run, just for fun. :^) )

I bought the passport based on the comparo at www.radartest.com Check it
out, very interesting info. I must say, however that Chris' Valentine has
performed flawlessly (except for the false beeps in towns) on many trips. I
ran it last year to the Blue Ridge and back, since Chris did not have a plug
on the Tropy at the time. It saved our bacon on at least a half dozen times
!!! I just recently got a ticket out east of Dallas on 175, for "79 in a
70" !!!! That sucks! Could not talk the DPS out of it, even by showing my
gray hair ;^)..<-<
So, I dropped the cash for the passport, just to keep from getting the
"stupid" tickets (hopefully).
