Race Tech

I agree with everything Erik says here. 15w should be just right. Brand is
a preference as someone is making the product for Ohlins though it is I'm
sure at least as good as any. Incidentally, Race Tech used to recommend Bel
Ray before inventing their 'own brand.' 1.5 - 1.75 turns on the emulator
would be about right too. I'm running 2.0 and would back off a hair for less
compression damping. One disagreement is that I believe both forks should
run the same weight oil and same level (125mm max-130mm min) in order to
reduce stiction. Like wise, the emulators should be set the same. While in
theory the fork operates as a single unit, we also know fork flex and
stiction exists and deliberately creating a situation where one fork has more
damping than the other doesn't help that situation. Plus, its an extra 10
minutes max to remove the second fork leg one you've done all the work to get
the first one out.
