Brian,

In spite of my ranting about the continuing babble over the "fuel
(level)sender" issue. My gauge, when I look at it, is reasonably accurate.
It drops slower on the top half, due to the shape of the tank. But half a
tank is about the 125 mile odo mark. Seems pretty accurate, some are not
this good I surmise. But it seems even those with less accurate gauges still
have an accurate "fuel reserve light". i.e. we all get the big orange glow
at about 1 gal. to 8/10 left. Plenty of time to search out nearest fuel.
Unless you are in the desert, in which case, you should have planned better
to start with.

Oh, another little piece of wisdom(?)......I always carry a 3 ft. piece of
siphon hose in the bag. You just never know, your buddy may have enough gas
to get both bikes to the station.
