Them thangs be called "regulators".

You could put a small one in your bag or under the seat and put a Shrader
valve on one side of it and a small hose on the other side of the regulator
with a levered (locking) tire chuck on the other end. Presto desto tricky
dicky magic show... Exact correct tire pressure every time, with no bleeding
and refilling!!

Or you could just quit being so anally retentive.

I don't think he was looking for something that attached permanently....

It would be a gauge that attaches to the valve, with a filler valve on the
other side. You then connect your filling hose to the valve on the gauge
and inflate to the desired setting. Sort of like the ones you can get that
go in-line on your compressor - only this one you could carry around with
you.
